All of BRINK’s Tucson employees trekked out to the FOX Theatre Friday night for “The Amazing Addys.” Host David “Fitz” Fitzsimmons (pictured above via American Advertising Federation of Tucson’s Facebook) seriously impressed us, he even had us laughing out loud. But good God, 3.5 hours of repetitive commercials and so much talking? We were nearly bored to tears and our butts were seriously numb by the time we escaped. The consensus around the office today was this:
- Just print the damn winners (besides maybe those who got Gold) on a leaflet. Reading out all of those names has zero entertainment value.
- Halfway through they lost the entire row in front of us. Something has to change or people won’t come back next year.
- The last dancer to perform with the silks was actually amazing.
- Limit the talking! The videos AAF created for award winners looked great but spending that much time on each recepient=TOO MUCH.
